Haeven/Trust & safety

    Intended use

    What Haeven is

Haeven is a preventive wellness companion for the perinatal period. It helps parents reflect on everyday questions about sleep, feeding, and early development, and points them toward their professional carer when something needs medical attention.

    What Haeven is not

    • The conversational platform is not a medical device under MDR or FDA.
    • Does not diagnose, treat, monitor, prevent or alleviate any disease or condition.
    • Does not replace your midwife, GP, kraamzorg, paediatrician or 112.
    • Not for use in emergencies.

Where Haeven indicates that a situation may need professional attention, that guidance is general and fixed, not an individualized clinical judgment. We treat this function as medically consequential and are scoping it as a separately governed capability, distinct from the wellness platform described above.

    Intended users

Expecting parents and parents of children in the first 1,000 days (pregnancy through around age two and a half), in the Netherlands, communicating in Dutch or English. Support across the full span of childhood is a long-term direction, not the current scope.

    Intended use environment

Home use, in non-acute moments. Always alongside a parent's existing care network, never in place of it.

    What Haeven will always do

    • Refer to a professional or 112 when a message contains a red-flag signal.
    • Surface a visible safety line on every conversation surface.
    • Disclose that it is not a medical service before collecting any contact details.

Features not active in the current pilot

The current sandbox does not generate GP or kraamzorg summaries, does not share data with care providers, and does not feed an AI model from your conversations. When such features are introduced, they will require a separate explicit consent step.
